If you think you have a leak in your pool, there is an easy way to determine, for yourself, if your pool is losing water from a leak or simply from evaporation

1. Bring the pool water up to its normal level
2. Turn off the auto-fill
3. Fill the bucket over halfway with water
4. Place the bucket In the pool. It is best to place it on the second step if possible
5. Mark the bucket water level on the inside of the bucket with a marker
6. Turn off the pool’s pumps
7. Mark the pool water level on the outside of the bucket with a marker
8. Begin the pool pumps
9. After 24 hours, compare the level of water in the pool with the water level in the bucket. If the water-level In the pool has dropped more than the water level in the bucket, you probably have a leak and need to call United Leak Detection at 888-422- LEAK.
